Americans above the law of the World Court

Why are you surprised that the country you live in is despised by so many people in the world?

The World Court has been created to get a form of retribution in the hands of the common people to deal with obvious violations of Human Rights usually committed by powerful groups or countries. For years now I've watched as this country has been led into committing one form of this abuse after another in the name of the common good for these same citizens of the world. Much of this was done through lies we conveniently believe, and all was done with permission of the majority of the citizens of our nation. Why is it that we are not being prosecuted for what we've done since
dropping fire bombs on Okinawa , a direct violation of Article 3 of the Geneva Convention, or bombing whole cities into rubble ? It's probably possible to list all of the awful things done to the world by the powers which are constantly in charge of our government. However, for the time being I'll try to limit it to what I've lived with personally. Having looked at the decision to drop the A-bombs on Japan, twice, I can only believe that a powerful group of people in this nation decided to make a show not only of our possession of that extreme destructive power but to demonstrate our total lack of humanity ergo how much we were to be feared. As we moved into the middle of the 20th century it became apparent this country was in the control. World domination became our primary goal. Economics replaced military actions as the primary form of subjugation. Military encampments throughout have made for quick "police" response. Though not received well at times our domination has still grudgingly been accepted by a large portion of the world and only occasional reminders have been needed. When threats to industry rear up in third world countries it's been the policy of the U.S. to mete out quick response enabling things to return to the accepted norm. Vietnam would seem like an exception until you look deeper at the long term results of the actions taken at the time. First of all there was a threat of unrest in this country which was being demonstrated on many fronts. The equal rights movement had accomplished much and was growing stronger and larger each day with more people feeling comfortable joining in with the ranks of the impoverished and overlooked. This movement spawned many community action groups e.g. The Black Panthers, Southern Christian Leadership Conference and many more, which the governing powers felt would impede the productivity of the country as a whole. So a war was needed. There are too many reasons a country can make war a productive engine of subjugation to hit them all but I will attempt to cover a few. First understand that with the lack of job and college offers afforded to young black males at the time service in the armed forces was touted as a way out of the quandary of racist induced poverty. When that didn't work the draft ensured many of the future leaders and warriors of the movement were killed or incarcerated for resistance. It has not gone unnoticed that every time there is a conflict involving the U.S. a large part of the population murdered in these "actions" are from low income families. When wars get unpopular actions are taken to ensure their continuation. The Draft is only now used as a last resort. Whereas much more is done to keep our minds in a constant flux. We receive our guidance in "fear speech" from our media. How many anti-war songs did you hear during the Gulf War debacle? Not many I'll assure you. Clear Radio DJs were instructed not to play them. Any opposition to Mr. Bush and his cronies was depicted as "UnAmerican" and dealt with accordingly. What is new is the ability of the powers that be to do such an effective job of hiding things and masking them to fit their lies, remember the WMDs? (more to come, gotta tend my garden)
